Stammer is entering her fifth season of pro beach volleyball. She has been playing volleyball professionally, indoor and on the beach, for 11 years. In 1999, she and her sister, Gayle Stammer, won a pro beach tournament in Seaside, Oregon. From 1994-1997, she played on the professional four person tour. Her best season was in 1995 when she played on the tour's championship team, Team Sony Autosound. She also was named All-League (right) Outside Hitter that season, and led the league in aces and kill percentage. She also has played professional indoor volleyball in Germany and Italy. Stammer played her collegiate volleyball at Lousiana State University from 1983-1986. She was an All-SEC First Team seletion in 1985 and 1986, and an All-Region Team selection and an All-American selection in 1986.
