Liz Pagano and Carrie Busch placed fifth in the inaugural beach volleyball competition at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada. Pagano has won nearly $9,000 in pro beach competition. The Pan Am finish was her best placement on the beach. Pagano competed in basketball and volleyball at Cornell. She was an All-Ivy League volleyball performer in 1992. Pagano is currently working as a human relations director for a national magazine distributor.
