• Kimura is entering her second season of pro beach volleyball.
• In her first season of the BVA Tour, Kimura finished 17th in five of the seven tour stops with Sarah Schroeder.

College

• Played her collegiate volleyball at Cal State-Los Angeles.
• In her senior season there, she earned MVP, Exceptional Female Student-Athlete, and Academic All-American honors.
• She was also named to the All-Conference and All-Region teams as well during her collegiate career.
• Cal State L.A. made it to the final four in her first year and to the sweet 16 her last three years.

Personal

• Kimura graduated in 1997 with a B.S. degree in International Business, with a minor in Economics.
• She is a certified high school and college volleyball and basketball official.
• She was recently honored, along with four Olympians, by the Amateur Athletic Foundation (AAF), with the Spirit Award for her exceptional and inspirational contributions to the development of future Olympic Athletes by coaching theory and skills to at-risk youngsters in the sport of beach volleyball.
