Career Highlights
- DeNecochea is entering her sixth year in pro beach volleyball.
- In the first year of the BVA Tour, she had her best finish at Long Beach, where she finished ninth with Missy Ross.
- She played on the Pro Beach Four-Person Tour in 1996 and 1997, where she was named the Surprise Player of the Year in 1996. She also led that league in kills in 1997.
- Played professional indoor volleyball in the Major League Volleyball - American Pro League, where she was a member of the Portland Spikers (1989), Minnesota Monarchs (1990), and the San Diego Spikers (1994). She also was named to the All-Star Team in 1994.
- Played professionally in Europe for five years.
- From 1990-1993 she played for Uni Basel Volleyball in Basel, Switzerland, where their best finish was third.
- In 1994, she played for Charleroi in Belgium, where her team won the Belgian Cup and finished second in the league.
- In 1998, she played for Cemar Rubiera Volleyball in Spezzano, Italy, where the team finished in fourth place.

- Played her collegiate volleyball at the University of Tennessee.

- DeNecochea, formerly Shoemaker, is married to Joel DeNecochea.
